Intimately Held: Safe-keeping through Touch invites you to participate in an understanding that the veil between humans, their hearts, fears, and aspirations is translucent. This entreats the wispy and ephemeral—that which is not always so difficult to lift. By peeling aside this fragile layer, and extending softness through, lightness can seize the lungs. Some variation of comfort and cohesion can pillow your aching, sickly head—if only for a moment.

The work included in this exhibition embraces the palpable nature of our healing course through touch and texture. As an intervention to bridge the dynamic relationship between sickness and health, Sally uses a process that captures the symmetry in our emotional healing mechanisms with that of the human body.
