The use of the nursing process is at the core of my practice-- dissolving into a strategy that is assessing, diagnosing, speculating, intervening, rationalizing and evaluating. I am intrigued by materials that are used and disposed of in hospitals; throughout my work as a nurse, unintentionally and intentionally I bring clean medical materials and objects home with me; these objects are mostly made of plastic or device instruction paper that would otherwise be disposed of because of their single-use only indications. I am currently experimenting with this media through collage. I am interested in asking questions about how we make space and support caregiving-- where care is present, inside and outside of hospitals, where patterns and processes for healing can exist.
